New Day, New Month, New Year, New Plans

Welcome to 2019 sunrise

It’s January 1 here in the United States which means many of us are looking at possible new year’s resolutions or plans. Some are reviewing (if they haven’t already) the last year.

The problem I have with reviewing the past year is that unless something was horribly bad, or superbly good, if happened in the first half of the year I may overlook it. One thing I remember about 2018, there were four Ultimate Blog Challenges. I signed up for all four. None of them were completed.

Which means, 2019 is a new chance. The first blog challenge of the year is this month and once again I have signed up.

Looking at the past less than stellar results I realized one thing, I need to keep it simple. While some people write beautiful posts, and edit them before posting, that’s not what happens here. On this blog, posts get written, if you’re lucky read over once, and then posted.

The problem comes when I start overthinking the post before writing it, then too much information tries to make it into the post. Before long I’m overwhelmed and the post doesn’t get finished, or sometimes started.

While there are several things I want to try, including doing videos, and writing how-to pieces, they don’t all have to be done in the same post. The goal for this month is to post every-single-day. Sometimes that will be a short 100 word post with a video or photograph, sometimes it will be a collection of quotes, other times it will simply be a short post.

No matter what form, I hope the posts entertain or inform you, both would be awesome. I’ll see you back here tomorrow, January 2. In the meantime, have a great start for the new year, and try not to overwhelm yourself.

Do you ever make life harder on yourself than necessary?

What is one thing you can do to make life easier or you?

Welcome to 2019 and the first Ultimate Blog Challenge of the year. So long 2018 and any misses and mistakes.

Glad to see you back in the challenge Nita! I too seem to overthink on things, then I seem to get sidetracked. I’m excited to be in the challenge again and lets get this completed together!
