Positive Words to Encourage, From Accomplished to Aware

It is April 1, and no joke, I will be blogging all month about positive words. There may be a few other topics thrown in, but for sure positive words and how we can use them to lift ourselves up is the plan. Of course, plans and actual happenings don’t always coincide, but we can hope. Thinking, saying, believing, positive words and phrases will help lift our spirits, and attitude.

Now, on with the words.

AWESOME is probably my favorite positive A word. I use it often, sometimes too much. People tell me that everything can’t be awesome.

Why not? Can’t there be levels of awesomeness? Beautiful sunshiny days are awesome because we can get outside, enjoy the sunshine and nature, maybe go for a walk. What’s not to like about a beautiful day? So, of course it’s awesome.

However, a dreary, cloudy, rainy day can also be awesome. It’s an awesome opportunity to stay in and spend the day reading, watching a favorite movie, or binge watching several episodes of a favorite show. It’s also an awesome opportunity to indulge in your favorite creative outlet. Rainy days can be awesome.

If there have been too many awesome rainy days, put on some rain gear and go splash in the mud puddles, dance in the rain, let the inner child out and be awesome enjoying the day.

See? Awesome works for whatever is going on. When someone asks how I am and the answer is “awesome” it makes both of us feel good. Sometimes I get a double-take as they realize what I said, but then they smile and say, “that’s great.”

There are other positive A words too, here are twelve of them:

  1. accomplished
  2. active
  3. adept
  4. affectionate
  5. agile
  6. amazing
  7. appreciative
  8. artistic
  9. articulate
  10. authentic
  11. aware
  12.  angelic

With the word AWESOME in the list there is a minimum of baker’s dozen of positive words at your disposal. Select one, either from this list, or your own favorite and make it a goal to use your positive A word at least once tomorrow in reference to you.

What is your favorite positive A word?

Do you think awesome can be overused?
