A to Z Positive B Words

B words in a row (1)

My favorite B words are probably Bear and Butterfly. Of course, they aren’t positive words, or words of affirmation, except for me. My husband’s nickname several times in his life was Bear, the last time was  before he died.

A couple of years earlier our first grandson used that name for him. My husband loved it, and that was what he wanted future grandkids to call him. One did, the others never knew him. I still refer to him as their Bear and that first grandson often refers to his grandpa as Bear.

Butterfly is for me. Not that I am a butterfly, but because I love them and have collected butterfly things from time to time. So Bear and Butterfly represent my husband and me even if they aren’t words of affirmation, although they are beautiful (a B word) and represent a beloved (another B word) time.

Some B positive words are:

As widows, and women in general, we can incorporate some of these words in our lives to help us move forward and create our next chapter.

We are beautiful and our lives are filled with beauty, whether it’s the beauty of nature or of the décor of our homes, we are filled with and surrounded by beauty. Believing in our beauty is sometimes a little difficult. But we have the power to believe what we want, so why not believe in ourselves and our beauty?

We are bold and bodacious, brainy, and the boss of our lives. We are brimming with bravery. Somedays our bravery takes our breath away. Other days our bravery just bubbles over.

Take a moment to remember to believe in yourself and your bodaciousness.

Do you have a favorite nickname?

Does, or did, your husband have a nickname?
